99-0319

In late October or early November 1999, a blank check was stolen from a local property management company. The check was subsequently forged and cashed at a Garden City Post Office for $660.00 worth of stamps.

99-0295

On November 9, 1999, an arson occurred on land near W. Market Street and the City water tower. Ikola Logging was burning other slash one half mile west of this site, but had not ignited the slash pile in question due to its large size and the dry weather. Fresh four-wheeler tracks were found at the scene, as well as a blue knit stocking cap.

Sometime during the night of November 3, 1999 or early morning hours of September 4, 1999, vandalism occurred at the Valley County Planning & Zoning Annex Building, 110 W. Pine Street. A screen and glass door was damaged, as well as wooden handrailing. Damage was estimated at $250.00.

During the night of September 11, 1999, a 1991 black Ford Ranger truck was stolen from a N. School Street residence. The truck was recovered on September 14, 1999, at Stolle Meadows near the Vulcan Hot Springs trailhead. It had been abandoned there and was spotted by a Forest Service employee.

During the night of September 4, 1999, 1984 blue Ford Bronco II was stolen from Main Street in front of Sterling Savings Bank. The vehicle was recovered on September 14, 1999, found abandoned in Caldwell.

On July 6, 1999, just after midnight, Harpo’s Convenience Store was broken into. Access was made through a broken window on the north side of the building. An alarm immediately activated, and officers were on the scene within five minutes; however, the suspect(s) had already fled the scene.

99-0137/99-0138

During the night of June 30, 1999, Cascade Building Supply was broken into and over seventeen thousand dollars worth of tools, computer equipment and other items were stolen. Entry was gained through an office window. The bay doors were then opened, a stolen truck was driven into the warehouse and filled with the stolen items.

The stolen truck used in the burglary was a 1997 black Nissan pickup with a black shell. The truck was stolen from the Cascade Auto lot, across the street from Cascade Building Supply. The truck was recovered in Adams County on Baldy Creek near New Meadows on July 15, 1999. The stereo and camper shell had been removed from the truck.

98-0147

Between 7:00 P.M. 09-04-98 and 7:00 A.M. 09-05-98, Snap-On tools valued at $1500.00 were stolen from the tool box of a Ford truck at Roadrunner Ready Mix. Also taken were 2 Air Touch cell phones w/battery and charger, and several cans of beer.

Late 03-16-98 or early 03-17-98, the Baptist Church at 130 Cabarton Road was burglarized. A window was broken to gain access. The following items were stolen: Samsung stereo, speakers, and remote control, and a Radio Shack remote microphone. Shelves in a bookcase were broken and papers were strewn about.
